QuickBooks and On-the-job training

*Hello. I placed the following ad on Craigslist:

In an attempt to update my QuickBooks skills and be current with the latest version, I am willing to volunteer my time in exchange for: a) training b) letter of recommendation in regards to QuickBooks.
I am looking for a business that I can trust with current QuickBooks! It is of value to me to be trained in the English language. I must understand what you are trying to teach me. I have not used QuickBooks Pro since 2004 and need an up date to be competitive with employment offers.
Please provide: Company name, City, contact name, and phone number. No junk please!
Yes I am a real person and not surfing for information. Thanks, EW

*On day one, a wonderful business answered the call for training and review. I was able to talk with the office manager and look at the newer QuickBooks 2014 system.
*On day two, I was introduced to Katy Winders from Stanislaus Business Alliance. She reviewed how to 1) open a new business, 2) complete the set up interview, 3) set up the chart of accounts, 4) post bank opening balance, 5) inter debits and credits off the bank statement, 6) post invoices.
*Along the way, I received 15 lessons in regards to QuickBooks 2014 and I have been reviewing The Missing Manuel: QuickBooks 2014.

*My most current Craigslist ad reads as follows:

In an attempt to update my QuickBooks skills and be current with the latest version, I have been reviewing The Missing Manuel and 15 emails, lessons in regard to QuickBooks 2014.

I was privileged to view a businesses books and received training with the office manager.

I am now looking for a part-time position where I can get some root teen hands on training. I have not used QuickBooks Pro since 2004.

I now qualify for On-the-Job training through Merced County's WorkNet. This means you get paid to hire me.

I am looking for a business that I can trust!

Please provide: Company name, City, contact name, and phone number. No junk please!

Yes I am a real person and not surfing for information. Thanks, EW

*How may I help your business?

Just reflexting about my town: Delhi, CA

Step 1: note high expectations for entry level positions.

When I go for walks in the small town of Delhi, CA, I see a few buildings that need to be vibrant. They are businesses without a business operating on the premises. I think of the large population and the diverse cultural background that Delhi has to offer. Watching and waiting to see what will happen to lifeless buildings. Only time will tell. Change can be a good thing.

When I came to Delhi, I noted an old house with a trailer in front of it. It was as if it were a homeless camp. A real estate sign showed up one day. Soon it no longer looked like anyone was on the property and the cleanup began. All was removed from the property. I am now waiting to see if someone is going to put in a new business in the clean lot. Advancement and development can happen in a small town.

If I had the power what I would bring to Delhi, Ca. is: a fast food chain, a hardware store, a dance studio, old style coffee shop, gym, revive the old newspaper, and clothing stores.

Step 2: Be on the lookout for the next big thing.

I am not a person who has the most confidence in the world. But once I know what I wish to communicate and have a valid knowledge of the topic. Yes! I want to share.

I take soft approaches, not those pushy ones. I want people to remember who I am and that I am a good person.

We use social media to express what is on our mind, provide information about our business, and engage in interpersonal relationships that will last.

Step 3: Use social media for every marketing opportunity
Step 4: Be ready to reset everything from scratch

Vitality needs to come to this location in Delhi, Ca 95315.

Vitality needs to come to this location in Delhi, Ca 95315.

The photo is of the abandoned Long John Silver’s restaurant which is located just off Highway 99 at South Avenue exit. The address is 9510 Stephens Street, Delhi, CA 95315. I did not see this location posted at the Long John Silver’s web site: http://www.ljsilvers.com/.

There is a 7-Eleven next door that is very active and on the other side a truck gas pump (I see truck stop there but not fill up). As far as I know this building was in business for just a few years, has only had one business in it, and was a new building at time of startup. Yes I could be wrong. I do not keep up with Delhi’s history.

Please see Wikipedia’s information on Delhi at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delhi,_California.

You can find out more about Delhi, Ca at the following community web page: http://www.delhicalifornia.net/.

Photos taken by Ellen Wells. Above statement is presented by Ellen Wells in reflecting about the town she now lives in. It does not reflect the opinions or statements of 7-Eleven, truck stop, Long John Silver, Wikipedia, or the community of Delhi, CA.
